MAKING PURCHASES

Firstly browse the online catalogue to find the products you require, once you have found the products you require add them to your shopping basket. You will be asked a few details before the order can be processed.

Advance Appliances reserve the right to not accept your order.

Please measure the space you have available to fit the product you wish to purchase taking into account the requirements for plumbing connections before you place an order.

PAYMENT

We accept Visa, Switch, Delta, Solo & Mastercard. We do not accept American Express. 

DELIVERY OF GOODS

The Company accepts no responsibility for consequential loss suffered by the Purchaser for delayed or non-delivery of goods.

Please wait for the delivery of goods ordered. Do not book plumbers until your goods have arrived and have been checked. We are not liable for any work man’s costs or compensation or loss of hours. Please ensure you check the delivery and report any shortages or damages within 48 hours. We will not accept any liability for any shortages or damages that are not reported within this period.

Please note we use a pallet company to deliver hot water cylinders and they will deliver to the address only – or to a garage or car port on the level.  They will not deliver to an apartment or inside a property. It is your responsibility to arrange the means to do this yourself. Most cylinders are a two man lift. Goods have to be signed for on delivery.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Items in stock are dispatched on a 2 – 3 working day service, but in the event that they cannot be delivered in this time frame please allow up to 5 working days for delivery. For non-stock items delivery times vary, depending on the product. If an item is not in stock, we will contact you and advise an anticipated delivery date. You have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

SHIPPING / HANDLING

All orders in mainland Great Britain include delivery. A carriage charge will incur if delivery is to an off-shore island.

All information is collected in accordance with the data protection legislation.

DISTANCE SELLING

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations apply to sales to consumers made by sellers in the course of business made at a distance where there is no face to face contact.

If you purchase a product from our website you are entitled to cancel within 7 days working days from receipt of goods and receive a refund within 30 days from the cancellation date.

The cost of return carriage is the responsibility of the consumer.  We will arrange collection and charge the cost back.

It is your responsibility to make sure that the product is available for collection in the same condition it arrived, utilising, as far as possible, the original packing material and pallet. If in doubt take a photograph before shipping.

WILLIS HEATERS - 1 YEAR

THERMAL STORE BEFORE APRIL 2015 - 5 YEARS

EXEMPTIONS:

1.Where modifications or other work is undertaken on a product that is not authorised by Advance Appliances

2.Where the installation is not fed from the public mains with potable water in accordance with the general UK water standards, or where primary water is part of the system and it is not inhibited to the correct dose.  Private water supplies are not guaranteed on standard products.

3.Scale/Hard Water: in areas where hardness exceeds 200ppm (installers will be expected to treat the water appropriately)

4.Faulty installation

5.Chlorine/chloride levels in excess of 200ppm

6.An aggregate of scale and chloride of more than 300ppm

7.Standing water unheated and unused for a period of two months or more

WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty period commences on the date of purchase.  In the event of a claim the serial number or batch number and commissioning documentation will be required. Without this information a claim cannot be made. It is important to register your warranty on the web site so we can send our service reminders to you. On completion of service your warranty can be kept up to date. All warranty registrations must be made within 6 months of purchase, anything after that will default to a warranty period from date of purchase only.

Warranty is subject to a maintenance schedule being in place for mains pressure hot water systems where a check of expansion vessel pressure, incoming control valve pressure and functionality of pressure relief and pressure and temperature relief valves and discharge is carried out on an annual basis. Warranties are not transferable.

Thermal stores must have inhibitor levels checked annually.

RETURNS PROCEDURE

Advance Appliances must be notified of alleged faulty units as soon as possible where Thermal stores, Heat Pump Cylinder and Buffer Stores* will be collected at an agreed time. 

Whereas BFS 20, Plug N Glow, eGlow and all parts must be returned back to Advance Appliances at an agreed time

EXEMPTION:

  1. Minor faults which can easily be rectified on site (such as an immersion heater not sealing correctly) once remedial action has been agreed between all parties.

REPORTING

Advance Appliances will test returned units and report on findings.  All units or components found to be faulty will be credited in full or replaced on a like for like basis as agreed. The warranty is limited to the replacement of any faulty parts or appropriate recompense to the value of the parts. This warranty does not cover labour costs.

Advance Appliances is committed to working with all partners to reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion to all issues regarding products and service and will do everything reasonable to achieve this end.
